- As a Civic Partnership Consultant, you will be part of a team responsible for the coordination and development of The City’s evolving relationship with its Civic Partners and not-for-profit partner organizations, including support for policy development and capital projects. Work involves both ongoing and project-based work that includes policy development, process improvement, research and data gathering, business planning, facilitation, consultation and project coordination. Primary duties include:

- Support a strategic approach to The City’s relationships with Civic Partners including work related to governance, operations, and capital and lifecycle of City-owned assets managed/operated by partners.Support implementation and review of the Investing in Partnerships Policy; develop and implement policy and other recommendations related to partnerships, partnership data, asset management and capital/operating funding.

- Support the development and implementation of initiatives and facilitate planning sessions within the division, with City colleagues, and with external partners.
Identify resource needs, recommend appropriate allocations, track and communicate key performance indicators that demonstrate the value of investment in partnerships.
Provide technical expertise to City colleagues about partnerships, partners, and non-profit structure, operations and governance.
Lead implementation of partnership-related data projects including the new Partnership Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).
Prepare and present written reports, Council reports, briefing notes, memos, and presentations on a range of partnership-related topics.

- **Qualifications**

- A degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience that includes partnership management, asset management, capital funding programs, capital projects, building condition assessments and project management.
- Knowledge of non-profit governance, management or grant making will be considered an asset.
- The ability to work collaboratively across a large organization and navigate situations with political sensitivity.
- A strong record of relationship management with nonprofit partners and the ability to manage existing processes and policies as well as offer new and innovative ideas.
- Well-developed communication and organizational skills, strategic and analytical thinking, conflict resolution and teamwork skills.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

- work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
