- The Neighbourhood Partnership Coordinator (NPC) serves as a consultant, facilitator, leader, liaison, and advocate on behalf of community partners (community associations and social recreation organizations). Primary duties include:
- Organizational Development: NPCs advise, facilitate, and lead community partners to strengthen their structure and processes to improve organizational and financial health.
Support the completion of board orientation and governance support, strategic and business planning facilitation, bylaw consultation and review, operational policies and procedures, and organizational assessments.
Support strong financial management through budget practices, annual financial reviews, grants, and funding resources.
Facility Sustainability/Capital Development: Provide direct support, information, and lead community partners through the construction process for proposed projects.
Partnership Management: Educate and collaborate with community partners to adhere to the terms and conditions of the Lease/License of Occupation (LOC) agreement.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain healthy relationships with community partners and City business units to ensure long term success.
Connecting Resources: Develop, interpret, inform, and promote resources to support community partners and share community information back to City business units. Connecting resource work is ongoing and interconnected to relationship management.
Communicate with members of Council on specific community items, as required.
- **Qualifications**

- A degree in Community Development, Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Communications, Business Administration, Sociology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related experience, including: board development, operations of non-profit recreation or social service organizations, government legislation, program development, risk management, project management, community development processes, and strategic planning.
- Previous experience in creating presentation materials and facilitating and presenting to large groups is an asset.
- You work well in a team environment, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal, advocacy, and communication skills.
- You possess strong decision-making and conflict management skills, sound judgment and strong resourcing, research, and analysis abilities.

- Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
- Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
