The Field Technical Service Representative is responsible for performing on-site installation, upgrades, calibration and configuration, as well as preventive maintenance and repairs as per Medtronic SOP’s and manuals

**A Day in the Life
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
- Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
- Analyzes and evaluates products and related performance.
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
- Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
- Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
- May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
- Responsible to understand and follow corporate and functional business unit

procedures as well as technical guidance documents
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Manage company assets including spare parts inventory, test equipment, computers and vehicle
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
- Provide after-hours service/support, where required

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

**Nice to Have**
- Minimum of 1-year field service experience in maintenance and repair of complex electronic or biomedical equipment
- Minimum of Associate Degree required in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics
- Technology, or certificate from accredited electronics school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical degree in electronics or biomedical electronics, computers, or related field
