**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Employee Relations, this position is responsible for acting as a point of contact and providing administrative support to the Employee and Labour Relations unit as it relates to policy development, data analytics, i.e. grievances, work performance, attendance, investigations, probation, accommodations, COVID-19, layoff/recall, as well as vendor and contract administration, presentations, job aids, etc.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Act as lead and primary point of contact for various Employee and Labour Relations programs, processes and initiatives, i.e. COVID-19 case management, lay-off/recall, probationary review process, check-in conversations, attendance management, etc.
- Administer the probationary review process, which includes following up with managers on probation status, preparing letters to confirm successful probation, ensure documentation is completed by Manager and submitted to Human Resources for filing
- Organize and administer attendance reviews and reporting on a quarterly basis, in conjunction with Total Rewards / HR Systems and Human Resources Business Partners
- Support assigned administrative facets of Employee and Labour Relations which may include, but is not limited to: drafting routine correspondence; preparing routine communications regarding Daylight Savings, Federal/Provincial/Municipal elections; coordinating meetings; preparing presentations, etc.
- Monitor Employee Relations, Accommodations, and COVID-19 inboxes and coordinate with Manager on necessary responses/actions
- Coordinate and administer payouts, historical edits, accrual adjustments, union leaves, etc. through UKG Dimensions (time keeping system)
- Support in the management of service contracts within the Employee Relations and HR Consulting Department
- Assist and participate in investigative interviews through the drafting of questions and briefings, as required
- Assist in the research, development, benchmarking, implementation and monitoring of policies within the Human Resources Policy Framework, inclusive of partnership with Legal Services on the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and its related annual certification process
- Participate in content development with respect to any required organizational learning within the Policy Framework and/or legislative compliance and regulatory obligations
- Support in the preparation and execution of grievances, mediation/arbitration and contract negotiations, as the need arises
- Participate in continuous improvement and project initiatives, which may include preparing presentations, job aids or acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on behalf of Employee and Labour Relations team
- Build, maintain and provide data analytics and trending with respect to employee related matters, contracted services and case management, i.e. COVID-19, grievances, probation, etc.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required
- 2 years’ experience of administration work in a Human Resources role, with demonstrated experience working in a unionized customer-centric environment
- 2 years’ experience analyzing data, creating and maintaining reports
- CHRP designation in progress, as well as policy development experience, are considered assets
- Valid G2/G Provincial Driver’s License required
- Obtain and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
