**Job Scope**
Reporting to the Directors of Admissions, the Admissions Advisor is responsible for planning and implementing services and activities based on the enrolment needs of VFS full-time students.
The ideal applicant will possess unmatched work ethic and time management skills. He or she can effectively communicate the schools message to drive results through customer connections. This individual possesses the intangible skills to think outside the box while adapting to an evolving business. With superior listening and communication skills, the incumbent is intuitive, friendly, has superior problem-solving and analysis skills, and understands the big picture with his or her actions.
**Core Responsibilities**
- Identify and qualify full-time enrollment by ensuring that all inquiries are handled promptly and thoroughly in a professional manner.
- Provide detailed information and services to prepare students for life at VFS. Provide expertise to the Admissions Team in regard to information on:
- International Relocation Issues i.e., Student Visa.
- Housing Solutions.
- Financial Assistance and Student Loans.
- City of Vancouver and Canada Overview i.e., medical, transportation.
- Support the timely delivery of Admission Fees prior to students start date:
- Keep student records up to date regarding incoming status.
- Support any VFS and or student issues i.e., payments, visas, housing, SL approval.
- Collaborate with our Marketing team to develop the appropriate communication tools.
- Support the Directors of Admissions to refine business operating systems
- Create policies and procedures that pertain to efficient execution of student needs
- Plan and coordinate Orientation Days for all new incoming full-time students.
- Work closely with the Program Managers to ensure a smooth transition between enrolment process and Program and Class start date.
- Ensure that information on students and programs are accurate and up-to-date.
- Attend weekly Admissions meetings to review enrolment, to build teamwork and to plan activities for achieving enrolment targets.
- Cover other Admissions Advisors duties in their absence.
- Support marketing initiatives and enrolment promotions i.e., scholarship competition.
- Represent VFS at industry functions and events when appropriate.
- Deliver student services initiatives on-time and on-budget.
- Identify and problem-solve any additional student services issues.
- Work effectively with Department Heads, Directors, and Administrative Managers by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner.
**Job Qualifications**
- Degree and or Diploma in Business Administration with three to five years of sales experience.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with superior work ethics.
- Demonstrated good judgment and initiative with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Highly organized team player with a flexible approach and works well under pressure.
- Project Management Skills able to create and deliver an idea from start to finish with strong problem solving and analysis skills.
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills with the ability to adapt and build the schools image.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen through previous work experience.
- Background in fine arts and entertainment is an asset.
