**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of Housing Initiatives, Residential Assets, and Business Supports, the Administrative Program Coordinator-Housing Operations will be responsible for planning, leading, and contributing to various complex projects across the Housing and Homelessness Services Department. This role will conduct research and provide briefs to senior levels of leadership regarding changes in legislation and policy implications and will assist in developing and implementing strategic plans and priorities across the Housing and Homelessness Services Department.

The Administrative Program Coordinator
- Housing Operations will provide support to ensure successful implementation of a broad range of strategic priorities including Council Priorities, the Brantford-Brant Municipal Housing Master Plan, and the Brantford-Brant Housing Stability Plan.

Salary/Hour: $41.94 to $52. 42 per hour (current)

Salary/Hour: $42.36 to $52.95 per hour (effective July 1, 2023)

**Qualifications**:
A university degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Development Studies, Public Policy, Public Administration, or directly related policy/social science discipline

Strong knowledge of housing policy, programs and rules

Minimum three years of related experience in housing program administration and/or housing property management.

Excellent knowledge of the Housing Services Act, 2011 and the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006

Good knowledge of other relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and agreements relevant to Housing and Homelessness programs delivery

Strong knowledge of grant funding streams and eligibility criteria such as the Canada Ontario Community Housing Initiative, Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative

Strong knowledge of budgetary and financial processes, and practical knowledge of basic accounting principles to interpret financial statements, analyze and develop budgets and develop deficit reduction plans.

Strong oral and written communications skills are necessary in order to communicate complex and sometimes sensitive issues to Council, senior management, staff, housing providers, agencies and the public

Experience in dealing tactfully with difficult situations

Extensive experience in developing and delivering presentations and information sessions explaining complex housing information to different audiences

Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills to plan and develop objectives, research, develop and implement plans, and decision-making skills to respond effectively to difficult situations.

Experience with YARDI, Microsoft suite of software, and strong computer skills are necessary

Possess a valid Class 'G' driver's license in good standing during the course of employment
