We are looking for a Manager of People Operations & Culture with outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. You will have excellent administrative skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn the business and grow with it. EmpowHERto is a Toronto-based non-profit organization founded in 2015, dedicated to helping young women and girls reach their fullest potential through its three pillars: Independence, Leadership, and Confidence.

To ensure success, the Head of People Operations & Culture should display strong problem solving and decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and volunteer engagement.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to recruitment and retention.
- Build organizational culture focusing on the core people-related policies, programs and practices to better support the organization in achieving future goals
- Point of contact for all volunteers, supporting with any concerns or queries they have, working with their manager to come to an appropriate resolution
- Responds to all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Assists with performance management procedures and advises on performance related issues.
- Produces and submits reports on general HR team activity.
- Keeps up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Leads and guides a team of HR professionals to support the organization’s human resources compliance and strategy needs.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Professional designation in Human Resources, and at least 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources is mandatory.
- Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Effective HR administration and people management skills.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Non-profit experience is an asset
