We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Manufacturing Plant Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Manufacturing Plant Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the financial health of our manufacturing facility. Your expertise in bookkeeping and financial management will be crucial in supporting the efficient operation of our plant.

**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Records Maintenance**: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounting software, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

**Accounts Payable**: Process invoices, verify purchase orders, and reconcile vendor statements. Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and resolve payment discrepancies when necessary.

**Accounts Receivable**: Prepare and send invoices to customers, monitor accounts for payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Record and reconcile incoming payments.

**Payroll Administration**: Calculate and process employee payroll, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Ensure accurate and timely payroll distribution.

**Bank Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements regularly to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.

**Financial Reporting**: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide financial analysis and insights to management.

**Budget Management**: Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.

**Tax Compliance**: Prepare and file tax returns, including HST/GST, payroll, and income tax filings. Stay current with tax regulations and ensure compliance.

**Inventory Control**: Assist in tracking and managing inventory levels, conducting periodic physical counts, and reconciling inventory records with actual stock.

**Financial Audits**: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits as needed, providing auditors with requested documentation and information.

**Compliance**: Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

**Expense Management**: Monitor and control manufacturing plant expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting is a plus.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial accounting is an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.50-$25.00 per hour
