We're hiring a Technical Product Owner with strong project management skills to work cross-functionally with distributed teams and stakeholders and collaborate on the execution of projects and programs that deliver value for our customers and support.

Salaried Position

This is a salaried position with a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.

The hybrid work system includes working from our office located at 20 Mural Street, Richmond Hill, ON, and remotely from home.

Job Description

The Technical Product Owner will oversee all stages of product creation including design and development, guide technical teams to derive and define technical product requirements from business needs, and maintain frequent communication with the business to understand needs, relay progress, and resolve production issues.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, and at least 2 years of experience as a technical product owner, software developer, or other hands-on role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields;
  • At least 2 years of experience as a technical product owner, software developer, or other hands-on role;
  • Strong understanding of computer science concepts, algorithms, and data structures;
  • Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products;
  • Able to write detailed and high-quality product requirements;
  • Able to explain complex requirements in simple words;
  • Experience driving collaboration across multiple disciplines;
  • Experience using modern prototyping tools;
  • In-depth knowledge of agile software development methodologies;
  • Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle;
  • Working knowledge of product development process;
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centred design principles;
  • Highly analytical with ability to critically evaluate information;
  • Experience working with embedded solutions is an advantage;
  • Exposure to imaging and computer vision would be an asset;
  • Working knowledge of SaaS and Cloud technology would be an asset;
  • Self-driven and organized with ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple initiatives;
  • Charismatic and engaging personality that will engage developers with the vision of the product;
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada;
  • Some international travel may be required.
