- Develop, recommend and implement plans for graffiti management services offered by the Capital City Clean Up that may involve internal City c departments and operational areas, the business sector, residents and various community groups
- Align goals and services of the Capital City Clean Up Program to ensure work plans and activities align with council directives, and corporate business strategies.
- Provide input on graffiti-related committees as required
- Implement marketing and promotions, community relations and public outreach, volunteer management, and public education that encourages behavior change as part of services offered by the Capital City Clean Up various bylaw strategies
- Develop and deliver presentations to key stakeholders, both internal and external to the corporation, on various topics as it relates to the Capital City Clean Up or other Community Standards and Neighborhoods Branch initiatives
- Work in a collaborative manner to establish and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and recommend annual graffiti project budgets and monitor expenditures
- Supervise and manage contracts with external contractors, consultants, private sector sponsors and non-profit organizations as well as provide direction to other members of the Capital City Clean Up team operational staff
- Manage projects and events from concept to completion that are citizen centric and support the Complaints and Investigations Section and / or the Capital City Clean Up.
- Establish and lead working groups to address emerging issues that may arise as it relates to the areas of litter and graffiti
- Support and facilitate cross-agency efforts and collaborations for community members to gain expertise and understandings on bylaw issues, i.e. nuisance properties, weeds, parking, licensing, snow, graffiti, etc.
- Facilitate community input and gathering information that contributes to informed and integrated decision making
- Act as a catalyst for diverse Community Standards and Neighborhoods initiatives that support building a welcoming, inclusive and socially cohesive community
- Provide expertise and leadership to the Branch on best practices, policies and principles associated with the implementation and development of community engagement and public relations strategies
- Liaise with key stakeholders on issues, document findings, and present reasonable recommendations that are likely to achieve desirable outcomes
- Support the Community Standards and Neighborhoods Branch initiatives to build and maintain a positive, healthy and inclusive workplace culture
- Other related duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree in Communication/Public Relations, Community Development, Business Administration, Social Work, Recreation Administration or a Degree that aligns to this field of work
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field of communications/ public relations, community engagement and development, project management, working with community organizations, and budget management
- Fully developed organizational and project management skills
- Proven ability in bringing together various stakeholders, consensus building and facilitation
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Extensive knowledge and experience in community development and facilitation
- Able to effectively gather, synthesize, integrate and interpret multi-faceted information from a wide range of sources
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders including community groups, citizens, senior leadership, etc
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license (or provincial equivalent). Must obtain business auto insurance for personal vehicle use on City business
- Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
