Tilray is looking to hit the next stage of its expansion plans, and we want to shore up our US payroll team. Our Payroll Supervisor role is uniquely positioned to contribute significantly to a rapidly growing US business. Specifically, we are looking for a Payroll Manager with experience in US payroll processing, US payroll taxes compliance, and stock-based earnings.

- **You will be supporting US Payroll processing.**
**Role and Responsibilities**
- Prepare and process payrolls partnering with our outsourced payroll vendor.
- Review the calculation of wages, overtime and deductions to ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state and international laws. Review employee wage attachments and ensure forms are filed accurately and timely. Capture needed improvements and translate to new ways of working, as appropriate
- Ensure reporting and creation/retention of relevant supporting documentation for payroll tax and other audits, SOX controls in every state in which we operate is accurate and complies with all local statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure we comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Identify and implement other appropriate process improvements where needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Qualifications and education requirements**
- 5 years experience in US payroll and deep expertise in equity compensation programs.
- Experience in executing internal controls over financial reporting under SOX.
- Experience in reporting earnings related to the equity compensation is a must.
- Previous payroll experience in large scale payroll system/software required
- Advanced understanding of domestic payroll processes and payroll tax laws
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with variety of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to evaluate, analyze, prioritize work under tight timelines, and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
