**JOB OVERVIEW**
The Volunteer Experience Team is responsible for recruiting, maintaining effective volunteer support for CCS throughout an annual cycle of activities and campaigns, ensuring relevant engagement, and maximizing the value of volunteers at the CCS. The team establishes and implements standards of practice, tools, resources, and support for the volunteer experience throughout the volunteer cycle.
The Recruitment Coordinator, Wheels of Hope will report to the Manager, Operations and Team Support and will implement strategies and tactics to recruit and onboard volunteers for the Wheels of Hope program.
The Wheels of Hope program is a CCS transportation program where volunteer drivers provide rides for people facing cancer to get to and from their treatment appointments.
**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
Recruit and onboard volunteer drivers for the Wheels of Hope program in British Columbia using specified strategies and implementing tactics.
- Works closely with VEBP Operations and Wheels of Hope team to develop integrated recruitment plans
- Research and present ideas for communities of interest, audiences, and tactics for successful recruitment
- Execute recruitment tactics to recruit from internal, lapsed volunteers
- Execute recruitment tactics to recruit from general public and specific communities of people
- Ensure the accurate and consistent management of volunteer data in the OneCRM and other databases in respect of the recruitment, onboarding, and screening metrics.
Work closely with the Wheels of Hope team to develop effective plans and ensure recruitment targets are being met.
- Work collaboratively with the Wheels of Hope team to develop recruitment strategies and plans that support the targets for recruitment
- Use Wheels of Hope messaging and tone to promote the program amongst communities of interest
- Attend meetings where requested, seek feedback, and communicate plans and tactics with the Wheels of Hope team members on a regular basis
Work with the Volunteer Experience Team to ensure recruitment plans and tactics fit with principles, process, and communications guidelines in pace.
- Ensure recruitment plans are connected and integrated with VE team recruitment planning
- Ensure recruitment communications are added to the VE communications tracker for coordination with the team
- Attend VE team meetings
- Ensure volunteers are onboarded according to CCS policy and onboarding requirements associated with the Wheels of Hope Driving volunteers
- Work with VEBP Operations to coordinate with volunteers who support the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers for the Wheels of Hope program
- Actively contribute to our culture of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion by encouraging dialogue that respectfully considers a wide variety of ideas, opinions, and suggestions.

**EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Post secondary degree in Human Services, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, Volunteer Administration, or another related field.
- Recognized certificate in volunteer engagement/management is preferred.
- 2-4 years of similar or related work experience.
- Highly skilled in attracting and engaging networks, volunteers, groups, or supporters
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to exercise sound judgment in relations with a diverse group of volunteers, staff, donors, stakeholders, and the general public.
- Demonstrated ability to engage the public or specific groups in a cause
- Proven ability to take initiative and carry-out projects to completion with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a busy workday
- Must be innovative, creative, and skilled in marketing for engagement.
- Demonstrated skills in building smart strategies as well as analyzing data and trends around mobilization and engagement. Must be able to set and achieve smart goals and objectives.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, positive can-do attitude, ability to self-motivate, works well independently, and contributes to a positive team culture
