We are looking for an exceptional **Legal Administrator** to join our Construction Group.

Reporting to the Construction Group Practice Head, this position is responsible for handling legal and administrative duties coming out of the Construction Group.

**Proven ability in the following areas is also required**:

- Excellent proof reading and grammar is expected
- Must be proficient in formatting
- Windows, Word and Outlook experience is required
- Excel, Prolaw and Emergent experience is preferred
- Teraview knowledge and experience is preferred

**Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Performs full legal administrative work of a responsible and confidential nature for one or more individuals
- File Management (opening, re-opening and closing files, retrieving files from storage, and amending clients’ information on files) in accordance with office policies and procedures
- Consistently dockets a portion of time using a timekeeper ID number
- Maintains calendar appointments and ticklers for critical dates and follow ups (use of tasks in Outlook is essential)
- Organizes and expedites the flow of work through the principal’s office, initiating follow-up action
- Prepares legal documents with little or no direction, according to general precedents
- Acts as liaison between principal and various internal and external individuals, groups and clients at all levels
- Routes or answers routine correspondence not requiring the principal’s attention and initiates follow-up action as required
- Takes and transcribes dictation of highly technical and/or confidential nature with mínimal error
- Prepares special reports including gathering and summarizing data
- Exercises initiative and judgment to relieve principal of administrative detail
- Draft all types of construction lien motion records
- Prepare legal documents such as Default Judgment material, Writs, Affidavits, Statement of Claims, Document Generals, Claim for Lien, Releases of Lien and full and final Releases, Certificate of Action, Affidavits of Documents, Section 39 Letters and Demand Letters, in accordance with standard practices and precedents.
- Schedule appointments, court dates, meetings, witness signing
- Organize and maintain files
- Processes pre-bills and attends to sending out bills to clients
- Exercises initiative and judgment to relieve principal of administrative tasks
- Attends to scheduling of court dates, appointments, and phone calls
- Open and close files, in accordance with office policies and procedures
- Perform Teraview property and execution searches for Litigation department
- Perform Cyberbahn searches for Litigation department
- Assist other firm members as may be required
