Brand Marketing Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Jacksons for a Brand Marketing Manager to join our team to cover a 9-12 month maternity leave.
**Job Summary**:
This individual will play an important role in the development of the Jacksons brand as part of the broader Commercial team.
They will work across the full marketing mix and work closely with NPD and Sales teams to help drive brand performance.
**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
**Brand**
- Work closely with the Sales and NPD teams, ensuring the direction of the brand is aligned.
- Oversee consumer brand activations and provide a measured review.
- Play a key role in developing and executing the Jacksons Brand Strategy and presenting to customers.
- Ensure brand consistency in delivery and in line with objectives.
**Customers**:
- Work closely with retail customers and the sales team to strengthen and drive JOY.
- Manage all shopper marketing activities ensuring a timely and effective execution in line with the wider brand plan.
- Oversee consumer interactions with the brand ensuring all consumers enjoy a positive brand experience.
**Product**:
- Provide direction on product development through E/NPD, working with the wider NPD team.
- Monitor and explore competitor NPD & EPD along with general market, bakery, food trends and industry developments.
- Track product performance alongside the Category Manager and identify opportunities to explore.
- Manage artwork and design process from initial brief to print, adhering to brand guidelines.
**Other**:
- Budget tracking and delivery
- Work collaboratively cross-functionally to deliver projects on time.
**Job Commitments**:
- Monday - Friday working 37.5 hours per week. Home-based with travel (to office, customers, or agency) required.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Educated to degree level in Marketing or Business Studies and/or a recognised professional marketing qualification.
- Brand management experience within an FMCG environment, typically gained working on brands sold with the grocery channel.
- Experience managing commercial brand performance and understanding brand P&L.
- End-to-end innovation/product development experience.
- Proven track record of delivering a wide range of marketing activities and driving sales growth.
- Experience in managing budgets and reporting on activities.
- Solid understanding of consumer and category insight.
- People management skills.
**A little bit about us and our history**
Jacksons is part of William Jackson Food Group, a sixth generation family business founded by William Jackson when he opened his first shop in Hull in September 1851. Today we have a portfolio of four food businesses in distinct, yet complimentary market areas, employing around 2,000 people.
We have occupied the current site in Hull since 1907 and we now have 3 bread plants in our main bakery. We recently developed a second bakery, also at our site in Hull, which specialises in premium quality roll production.
We specialise in the supply of bread and other carriers to the sandwich manufacturers, foodservice and export channels, and in 2012 we launched our consumer facing brand “Jackson’s of Yorkshire”.
In 2018 we opened a brand-new site in Corby, Northamptonshire - one of the largest investments our Group has ever made - and this will allow us to realise our ambition of being the best at what we do.
