The role
A typical day
- Understanding of content management systems and experience uploading content within those systems - Contentful knowledge and experience highly preferred
- Leading design on projects and initiatives and providing support and sustainment for all digital properties
- Maintaining knowledge of latest design principles; including accessibility and overall user experience best practices
- Interpreting creative briefs and independently translating them into design concepts
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, internal teams and external agencies to ensure design solutions deliver on business objectives while maintaining a high level of execution consistent with design and brand standards
- Working with relevant stakeholders to support merchandising and acquisition strategies in order to grow online channel and support exceptional online customer experience
- Communicate design concepts and rationale to the project team and business stakeholders
- Working closely with developers to ensure feasibility of design concepts
- Establishing, documenting and enforcing design standards, patterns and process
- Developing design artifacts to support project delivery
- Working with Product Owners & internal teams to collect/source and analyze data to inform design solutions and provide data-informed insights to improve existing experiences
- Advocate research findings through reports and presentations
- Occasionally some early morning/evening/weekends will be required with the ability to work a flexible schedule
- Other duties as assigned

Your skills/experience
- Degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience, with portfolio
- Cumulative 3-5 years design experience with 2-3 years managing and developing compelling digital content
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge of current technology, equipment and software
- Excellent organizational skills with specific attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously with the capability to evaluate and assess priorities to create focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - a team player
- Proven ability to work with and respond positively to constructive criticism
- Ability to work autonomously within an agile environment as part of a larger team, capable of self-directing and taking the initiative to drive towards outcomes

- This position requires the successful completion of a criminal and background check.
- Preferred location is our Freedom Mobile office in Toronto, ON with a flexible approach to working remotely. In-office attendance will be based on business and team needs.
