Victoria, Canada HOTEL GRAND PACIFIC Full time

A full-time position, this is an excellent opportunity for recent Hospitality Management graduates or individuals with previous hotel front desk experience who are looking to join a large, luxury property.

**Duties**:

- Ensure ensure a pleasant, organized, accurate, and efficient arrival and check-out process for guests
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to assist hotel visitors, minimize inconveniences, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Maximize hotel occupancy and daily revenue through upselling
- Perform accurate billing procedures and daily cash-outs
- Support front desk operations by completing reports and checklists
- Training on night audit is optional

**What We’re Looking For**:

- At least 1 year of front desk or reservations experience in a full-service hotel
- Post-secondary training in Hospitality Management preferred
- Experience with Opera PMS software preferred
- Professional, welcoming, and enthusiastic demeanour
- Positive and effective verbal & written communication skills
- Eager to learn with a conscientious attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Able to maintain composure, professionalism, and organization during rush periods
- Takes initiative to maintain high standards of personal presentation at all times
- Solid knowledge of Victoria and the surrounding area
- Second language is an asset
- Comfortable standing at a desk on a continual basis
- Available to work more than 30 hours per week at varied shift times
