Information Technology Help Desk Technician

Managing network infrastructure and implementation, including monitoring of network traffic and server optimization.
- Setup active directory users, knowledge of security groups, and group policy.
- Network administration and maintenance of local area network services such as firewalls, switches, and other devices.
- Maintenance of hardware and software through monitoring, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading and repair. Cleanup and maintenance of existing systems as needed.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Office 365/Exchange & Office Products such as (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ongoing maintenance and improvements in Hyper-V & VMware Systems.
- Implementation and maintenance of corporate backup systems.
- Administer virus protection and removal.
- Coordinate vendor technical support as required, including submitting RMA’s and warranty checks.
- Implement and comply with site-specific operations and security policies.
- Implements, maintains, and adheres to all IT policies and procedures as set by Streamline Management.
- Assisting other IT teams as needed.
- Must be available to participate in rotating emergency on-call support and weekend projects.
- Basic understanding of VOIP phone systems
Qualifications Required:
- 1 to 4 years experience in IT, preferably some being in Managed Services or IT Consulting troubleshooting software and hardware problems on various equipment, including desktop and laptop computers, point of sale equipment, enterprise servers, storage devices (SAN), and networking devices (switches/routers).
- A relevant technical post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license.
- Excellent analytical and client communication skills.
- Deliver excellent results in an unsupervised environment.
- Maintain a level of professionalism throughout the work place.
