**Position Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Maintain General Ledger**: Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
- **Accounts Payable/Receivable**: Manage and monitor A/P and A/R processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
- **Bank Reconciliations**: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- **Expense Tracking**: Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- **Payroll Processing**: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and timely payment to employees.
- **Tax Filings**: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- **Audit Preparation**: Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- **Administrative Support**: Provide general administrative support related to financial operations as needed.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- **Experience**: 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- **Knowledge**: Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Communication**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- **Team Player**: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
