**Product Analyst, Human Resources and Payroll**:

**Nature of Work**: Reporting to the Manager, ICT Finance & Resources Solutions, the Product Analyst will leverage a strong analytical background to effectively manage and mature our HRIS practice and solutions. The Product Analyst will be responsible for aligning maintenance, continual service improvements, and new capabilities whilst partnering with key departments, units, colleges and process managers. The position requires management of competing demands from many diverse stakeholders.

This position will be part of a supportive, cross-functional team that will work collaboratively on payroll and HR service improvement initiatives and projects. As the university’s systems and technical architecture changes, this position must adapt to the changing system and technology landscape.

**Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for the alignment of priorities, products, service decisions and implications
- Drive the roadmap and prioritization of end user focused initiatives to solve our community’s most impactful problems
- Understand business and functional workflows/processes; able to implement best practices for the betterment of processes (considering scalability, performance, business policies and future needs)
- Form a partnership with process managers to fully understand business functionality, pain points, and areas of improvement.
- Commit to the continuous improvement, and deep understanding of Service Management best practices, tools, and technology to gain knowledge of the products and limitations.
- Work with stakeholders to articulate priorities, needs, gaps, and explore opportunities to ensure a positive user experience and journey.
- Define the problem and scope for a given workstream and present backlog items and key milestones to make up the product roadmap
- Capture, analyze, define, and document business change requirements and non-functional requirements
- Work with ICT teams to ensure solutions are configured according to the acceptance criteria and our enterprise architecture principles.
- Oversees and executes collaborative and cross-functional initiatives for releases identified for their area with medium risk and medium potential organization wide impact.
- Document and maintain policies, processes and procedures, and related decisions and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, process managers, colleges/units, ICT staff and other relevant stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**:A considerable amount of experience** **in Business Analysis, Business Process Management or a related field.

An understanding of the University of Saskatchewan and/or the higher education industry is an asset.

Experience with and knowledge of payroll, human resources and human resource information systems are assets.

Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment with the ability to work effectively in informal and formal teams with people from diverse communities, cultures, and perspectives.
