**Description**

KEY JOB ELEMENTS:
Monitor all financial aspects related to assigned Program(s); include forecasting, variance reporting and analysis, financial reporting (EAC and CIP)
- Monthly activities include: month end reconciliations, accounting entries, program performance status reporting and billing
- Non-routine activities include special expense analysis projects, ad hoc financial reporting and providing back-up support for other team members
- Support both internal and external audits and financial rate development
- Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
- Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of data
- Find and communicate key insights and findings to program teams and leadership
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders
- Grasp the scope of projects and their requirements to assist in cost estimation
- Perform complex data analysis and develop accurate forecasts
- Perform month end reconciliations and monitor financial status by comparing data sets with projections
- Perform variance, risk and trend analysis
- Improve fiscal health with thorough analyses of financial data to develop deep, actionable insights that drive business performance
- Strive to advance personal skill sets through continued engagement in networking, training, and advanced education opportunities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or Diploma in Business with a focus in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience
- Critical thinker with demonstrated analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
- Experience with complex data research and analysis - Outstanding communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Team player with great interpersonal skills
- Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
- Superb time management skills - Ability to travel (5% Canadian, 5% US & Int’l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Accounting Certification (CPA-CA, CPA-CMA, CGA)
