Position Summary
The Financial Business Analyst is responsible for recommending strategic, analytics-driven solutions to assist the organization in achieving corporate goals and objectives. This role includes problem solving, ability to draw conclusions, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Primary key objectives include creating, assessing, analyzing, and interpreting various company data sets and information needed to support decision-making, budgeting, data & scenario modelling, accurate reporting, financial controls, and corporate policies. This role also involves the creation, maintenance, and assessment of underlying reporting to streamline data-driven decision making across the organization.

This position reports to the Director of Finance. Also, a close working relationship with the Management and Leadership Teams will be required. This position is based at the company headquarters in London, ON, and is a full-time role.

Accountabilities:
**1. Business Financial Analysis and Reporting**
- Assist with annual sales territory budget preparation and analysis, including updating data & reports for sales team commissions and reporting throughout the fiscal year as necessary through various reporting platforms.
- Analyze pricing and product margins, assist with pricing updates & complete ad-hoc pricing analysis as required before providing to the Director for Finance for review & approval.
- Compile & maintain pricing reporting for distribution to various departments, including price lists for major tradeshows & sales events.
- Analyze marketing pieces for proper margins on items promoted and present findings to the Director of Finance for review.
- Analyze & develop reporting to assess & provide insights to inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while maintaining appropriate cash flow, including performance by vendor and assess outbound sales vs. inventory levels.
- Create and provide analytical findings on company metrics for inclusion in company communications and presentations.
- Work with the Director of Finance on analyzing and improving Company profitability.
- Perform & maintain underlying calculations for vendor support as required throughout the year, including running & providing underlying transparencies for vendor partners.
- Identify and understand customer buying patterns at the overall, vendor, and item category level and present findings to Leadership Team for assessment.
- Assist Marketing Team with creation of new product pricing for all sales channels before presenting to the Director of Finance for review.
- Complete various other financial analyses and reporting as required.

**2. Systems & Analytics**
- Lead discussions surrounding centralization of reporting & creating processes to improve reporting efficiencies across the organization.
- Development of various metrics reports as necessary to track company performance in alignment with company goals & directives.
- Assist company departments with data modelling & analysis.
- Perform underlying system maintenance & upload of system data.
- Create reports & perform underlying maintenance as required based off business developments.

**3. ISO Procedural Knowledge**

Applicable job-related ISO Procedures as outlined in the ISO training matrix. All ISO training is maintained and administered by the ISO Management Representative.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced Excel user, with knowledge of Power Query & efficiently manipulating large data sets.
- Strong attention to detail and validation of analysis prior to presentation to Management is required.
- Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Jet Reporting, and PowerBI experience would be an asset.
- Strong strategic, planning, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work on various items at any given time, including high organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts & metrics.
- Proven written and communication skills, including written reports, including capability to summarize complex technical information & present to senior leadership teams.
- The ability to work well and build co-operative relationships with people at all levels.
- Achieves business results, by acting, achieving quality, and focusing on the future.
- Demonstrates integrity and ethics; sets a personal example.
