**What you will do**:
The Payroll and Benefits Clerk is the at the heart of our payroll department. This is the team that ensures that all our employees are well taken care of. From processing payroll to being a resource regarding our benefits the Payroll and Benefits clerk will play a key function in our operation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process all company payroll and deductions accurately
- Verify timesheets, validate payroll entries and approved overtime calculations
- Enforce company policies for managing vacation pay and overtime premiums
- Administer the attendance and absence database (maternity, sickness, disability, vacation, etc.)
- Liaise with operations to ensure that employee salaries, classification and benefits are correctly entered
- Provide information to employees and answer questions related to payroll and benefit plans
- Complete, verify and process forms and documents required for the administration of benefits, such as Employment Insurance and Medicare
- Resolve employee payroll discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including payroll and benefits information.

**To be successful in this position you will need**:

- College degree in business administration, accounting, or equivalent
- Minimum of **1 year** payroll processing experience
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Bilingualism essential (French and English) to support our operations outside of Quebec
