What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Director
- Fusion Services, the Director, Fusion Intelligence is responsible for developing and operating the Fusion Centre intelligence capability - a center of expertise within the Fusion Centre which establishes, operationalizes a comprehensive intelligence cycle, and brings together the most relevant information, intelligence, data and stakeholders from across the Corporate Security, Information Security and Fraud Management domains. The Director sets the conditions for the effective delivery of aggregated intelligence outputs which generate a coherent, holistic, strategic picture that directly supports decision making, enhances situational awareness and provides unity of effort to mitigate threats, reduce losses and protect our clients and the bank.

How You’ll Succeed- Fusion Centre Intelligence Program - Lead the design and development of the Fusion Centre Intelligence program, including framework, processes and procedures; in consultation with Fusion and cross-pillar teams; providing substantive expertise on intelligence tradecraft, best-practices and collection & analysis techniques.- Intelligence Cycle - Establish, operationalize and manage a complete intelligence cycle, including requirements, planning and direction, processing, exploitation, analysis, production, dissemination and an effective intelligence-consumer feedback process which enables continual calibration, prioritization and tuning to maximize intelligence gains and effectiveness.- Coordination and Quality Assurance Activities - Set priorities and shape the activities and capabilities of Fusion intelligence to ensure that cross-pillar information, intelligence and data is effectively aggregated, structured, collated, verified and contextualized so that linkages and interrelationships are discerned across pillars and effective analysis is undertaken to evaluate, interpret and transform information into finished intelligence products which are concise, straight-forward, objective, timely and accurate and which draw appropriate analytical conclusions and subsequently convey the finished intelligence to the consumer in a usable form which supports decision makers to take action to mitigate threats and reduce losses.- Align Fusion Intelligence Activities - Contribute to the strategic priorities and initiatives of the broader CIBC Fraud and Fusion group while achieving tactical success by meeting objectives and advancing the Fusion’s Centre’s mandate and mission. Support delivery of Fusion and organizational programs, as required, highlighting opportunities for efficiencies and improvements within operational methods and workflows.- Identify Issues and Incidents of Significance - Determine the impact/urgency/ audience and take action to share required intelligence for operational and investigative responses. Contribute to problem and event management efforts as required, working with Fusion peers to ensure resolution as quickly and efficiently as possible.- Cross Functional Relationships - Develop strong cross-functional relationships with colleagues across pillars and externally, including vendors and industry peers, to facilitate two-way information sharing to advance and support of Fusion Centre objectives. Assist in the development and provision of metrics, KPI, KRI, OKRs and dashboards as required. Proactively identify potential Fusion use cases and ensure relevant stakeholders are engaged; supporting the use case as required. Coordinate the Fusion Centre daily intelligence briefing which brings key CIBC stakeholders together from across the Corporate Security, Information Security and Fraud domains and creates a dedicated and consistent information sharing environment for the CIBC security community. Ensure the effectiveness of the daily briefing through continual evolution and calibration to best meet participant and Fusion needs; pursuing a holistic view of how the top security priorities and threat issues will shape the day ahead. Promote a shared sense of mission to protect our clients and our bank through a culture of information sharing and collaboration.- Strategic Planning and Execution - Participate in strategic planning and & roadmaps for intelligence and / or other Fusion Centre capabilities and deliver operational aspect of projects pertaining to t
