**Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer**
**Start Date: As Soon As Possible**
**Salary Range: $57,933.19 to $78,380.20**
**Location: Henlow/Thames Campuses and/or remotely, as required**
**Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (35 hours/**week)**
Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment, Career and Employment Services, the Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer serves as an ambassador of MITT and contributes ideas to meet/exceed domestic enrolment and enhance the goals and overall vision and brand. They are responsible for the coordination of student recruitment activities and initiatives within the following markets: MITT partners, high schools, adult learning centres, new Canadian (permanent residents), Indigenous students, government, sponsoring and partner agencies. They are also responsible for liaising with internal departments (Academic, Admissions and Marketing) in developing policies and procedures that enhance MITT’s student onboarding process.
- This position primarily works 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, however evening and weekend work will sometimes be required.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Recruit domestic student Prospects for MITT programs. Market and promote MITT programs in community.
- Identify, recommend and lead opportunities for strategic and operational alliances throughout the region and province with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Work with prospective students, Band Councils and other student funding to support compliance with funding agencies.
- Communicate effectively with program participants, staff, peers across campus, and partners both verbally and in writing.
- Communicate effectively with Indigenous leads and community contacts.
- Coordinates career related events and industry focused sessions including guest speakers, panel discussions and career fair events (in class, online and extra-curricular).
- Represents MITT at career, marketing, sponsored and recruitment events including Career Symposia and school presentations.
- Coordinate and facilitate presentations to Indigenous and community organizations to promote MITT as an adult learning and post-secondary education provider.
- Maintains a regular schedule or availability for drop-in career assistance for students, prospective students and alumni.
- Maintains a high-level of current knowledge regarding career education and labour-market trends relevant to MITT programs.
- Organize and facilitate MITT’s participation in recruitment tours.
- Inform marketing and the CRM administrator on content for social media and workflows.
**Required Qualifications and Experience**:
- A combination of related education and experience may be considered._
- Post-secondary education credential in business, marketing, community development, career development, education or related fields. A combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations are required.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in Indigenous student recruitment or engagement.
**Preferred Qualifications and Experience**:
- Preference will be given to individuals of Indigenous ancestry.
