Palatine Hills Estate Winery, located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, is a family-owned estate with deep roots in the region's wine culture. Originally a fruit farm founded by John Sr. and Barbara Neufeld, the estate began cultivating premium wine grapes in the 1990s, officially becoming a true estate winery in 2003. Today, the winery, led by second-generation Neufeld brothers Johnny and Charles, is known for its family values, commitment to innovation, and respect for the land. Visitors enjoy our rustic charm, welcoming atmosphere, and expertly crafted wines that celebrate Niagara’s unique terroir.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily operations in the tasting room, retail area, and bar/patio to maintain smooth service flow and high standards.
- Cultivate a memorable guest experience by upholding Palatine Hills' standards of hospitality and wine education.
- Drive revenue by coaching staff in effective sales techniques and fostering product knowledge.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in all front-of-house areas.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and modeling effective sales practices.
- Manage merchandising and décor in retail and tasting areas to align with our brand.
- Ensure adherence to cash and inventory control procedures; support monthly inventory checks.
- Facilitate staff training on product knowledge to empower their sales efforts and enhance customer engagement.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated excellence in guest service and a strong work ethic.
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, or retail environment.
- Proven ability to recognize and act on the needs of guests and team members.
- Proficiency in computer-based POS systems and cash handling.
- Wine education or previous winery experience (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with Shopify and Excel (preferred).
- Smart Serve certification (required).

Pay: $45,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 3 years (preferred)
- Supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
