To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Coordinator, Billing and EMR Support to support our Family Medicine Centre at our Mount Sinai Hospital.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support for administrative and clinical staff in using ARMS.
- Coordinate Ambulatory Medical Record System Training for staff.
- Set up schedule template for new staff and physicians
- Set up/change of templates such as appointment type, daily schedule report, patient lists
- Assist in training new physicians into all systems such as physician billing OHIP group, MOH registration, ARMS billing system, user and active provider
- Prepare departmental reports and assist with data collection.
- Performs all duties related to billings to ensure that they are accurate, that all required records are maintained and that all reporting required is completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for all duties relating to payment for academic activities such as the clinical teaching expenses, all sessional payments and stipend payments
- Responsible for preparing all monthly reports and administrative duties related to physicians’ clinical activities.
- Responsible for all duties relating to accounts payable and receivable for the department.
- Maintaining and recording the collection and distribution of Hospital On-Call Coverage funding for physicians.
- Involved in committees as appropriate (QI committee, patient care, or others)
- Other duties as required
- Job Requirements- Successful completion of a University Degree or College Diploma specializing in bookkeeping, accounting and/or medical billing preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years related experience in a medical finance environment
- Demonstrated capacity with bookkeeping and basic accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Nightingale software, Quicken, Excel, Payroll software and databases as required.
- Solid experience with OHIP billing and Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care funding required.
- Demonstrated capacity with EMR
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure with multiple competing demands.
- Organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead when necessary.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
