**Position Description**:
The **_Policy and Economics in Childhood Cancer Research Unit_** (PERCC) lab in Child Health and Evaluative Sciences at the Hospital for Sick Children is seeking a **Clinical Research Project Manager **(CRPM) who possesses and applies highly advanced scientific knowledge of innovative research principles, theories and concepts in the field of implementation science, health systems research and/or clinical epidemiology. The CRPM will assist PERCC’s Principal Investigators (PIs) with day-to-day research operations and, specifically, manage the research portfolio related to an NGO-partnered study of an intervention to improve the early diagnosis of childhood cancers in Kenya and Cameroon. The CRPM will work closely with the PIs and a large international clinical and research team.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Manage both the research and logistic aspects of an international project focused on children with cancer in Kenya and Cameroon
- Manage both the research and logistic aspects of a project focused on children with cancer in Ghana
- Help develop and execute medium
- and long-term strategies for PERCC
- Remain current on health systems research methodologies, principles and theories.
- Review and prepare peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and grant proposals.
- Submit to REB and coordinate revisions in accordance to institutional requirements
- Contribute to the development of new innovative research principles, theories and concepts.
- Provide leadership and supervision within the PERCC team on scientific matters.
- Assume responsibility for interpreting assignments, planning of experiments, correlating data, evaluating results, and preparing reports embodying pertinent hypotheses, assumptions, procedures and findings.
- Independently design and create new techniques, procedures and practices to improve monitoring and evaluation of a collaborative program of health system capacity-building in low-income country (LIC) contexts.
- Present scientific outcomes to the project team, members of the research community, governmental and policy stakeholders, and scientific audiences at international conferences.
- Supervise and mentor trainees.
- Assist the PIs in ensuring that fiscal safety and legislative responsibilities are maintained.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research or related field with relevant experience in global health and LIC health research.
- Experience with implementation science and/or qualitative research methods is highly valued.
- Facility with Excel-based data management and analysis; familiarity with advanced statistical software package(s) preferred.
- Management experience as a project leader.
- Demonstrated strong competency in written and verbal communications.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential
- Proven ability to multitask
- Previous experience with grant and manuscript writing.

**Employment Type**:Temporary, Full-Time (2-year contract) with possibility of extension
