**Role Responsibilities**:

- Develop external communications across Anti-Financial Crime division (AFC), including Verafin and Nasdaq Trade/Market Surveillance
- Lead media relations and external communications global support around product launches, thought leadership, marketing campaigns, award or client wins and major organizational announcements
- Build and execute global media relations program
- Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
- Maintain a list of and proactively engage with media outlets and journalists for story ideas
- Write and review communications materials including press releases, pitches, and thought leadership content
- Arrange, facilitate, and manage media briefings with key spokespeople
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across several functional areas
- Support executive communications for head of AFC and line of business leadership including media relations, speaking engagements, social media, and internal communications
- Closely partner with regulatory and government affairs and innovation strategy on building industry, trade, and public sector partnerships in bolstering AFC’s presence/brand awareness
- Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications initiatives
- Maintain media archives and round ups from key initiatives
- Flexibility and availability to liaise with media and handle requests for interviews and statements

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 7+ years of corporate communications experience
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Experience using various media and methods for business communications
- Experience in financial services, fintech or regtech
- Ability to interact with executive leadership
- Successful with balancing creative thinking with meticulous attention-to-detail

**What does success look like in this role?**:

- You are a thought leader and regular media contributor on anti-financial crime
- You will position Verafin/ Nasdaq AFC to become the source of truth for state of financial crime and technology to solve a problem
