Outside Sales Representative

**Reporting Manager**: Branch Manager
Full-time, ability to operate remotely with regular visits to head office in Edmonton, AB.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Evaluate customer needs and build productive and lasting relationships.
- Maintain and expand upon the customer roster within the assigned territory.
- Make telephone calls and conduct in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
- Identify prospects, ensure customer satisfaction, and constantly seek new opportunities to drive revenue and margin growth.
- Research and source prospective customers, analyze information to determine potential and prioritize sales efforts.
- Create and manage the value plan for existing customers: profile, share of total spend, and value-creation opportunities.
- Develop sales strategies and models and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Meet personal and team sales targets.
- Coordinate sales effort with inside sales, marketing, accounting, logistics, and supply chain management groups.
- Update customers on order status and time to completion.
- Assist with the forecasting of future sales and provide feedback to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Maintain compliance with all ATP policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years in outside sales, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience selling fasteners or similar industrial products is a highly valued attribute.
- Skilled professional who builds customer relationships, follows up on leads, and maximizes sales opportunities.
- Familiarity with different sales techniques, customer relationship and pipeline management.
- Effective communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and driven with an ability to work independently.
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Computer proficiency, MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, and an ability to travel and call on customers weekly in assigned territory.
