**PROJECT COORDINATOR**

Responsible for hands-on technical and administrative tasks for a niche manufacturing and installation construction company.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. SHOP DRAWINGS**
- Reviews project scope with Estimator/Technical Designer
- Prepares and maintains shop drawings using standard templates and techniques under the review of the Estimator/Technical Designer. Training will be provided on the specific software and processes to be followed.
- Will be responsible for the ongoing revisions to the drawings as necessary throughout the life of the project under the direction of the Project Manager

**2. INSPECTIONS**
- Assists qualified personnel in performing site inspections. This may include using test equipment, taking readings and measurements, recording data and taking photographs.
- Assists qualified personnel in preparing Inspection Reports
- Coordinates site visits with customers

**3. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

**3.1 Material Shipping**
- Shipping material as needed to various sites across Canada
- Responsible for taking Material Orders from packing slip to final delivery
- Managing client care and expectations on delivery dates

**3.2 Vehicle Maintenance**
- Maintains and populates the vehicle log for monthly mileage, repair costs, and other information
- Schedules work vehicle maintenance repairs and drops off/picks up vehicles at service centre
- Maintains proper insurance and ownership documents in all vehicles and maintains license plate renewal requirements

**3.3 Record Keeping**
- Assist the Project Manager with site meeting record keeping and production of meeting notes as required
- Assist the Project Manager and Office Manager in maintaining project records
- Under the supervision of the Project Manager, creating and maintaining records for:

- Safety certificates and equipment
- Tool and cell phone logs
- Booking staff safety training courses as required

**3.4 Shop Assistance**
- Advises Project Manager of stocking levels of material in the Shop
- Receives and stocks material in the Shop under the guidance of the Project Manager
- Assists with Inventory Physical Count
- Additional facilities maintenance duties such as light grounds keeping, scrap metal organization

**CORE COMPETENCIES**

**Technical Understanding**
- Possesses a good understanding of construction industry practices, requirements, and principles
- Understands the interaction between our trade and others
- Possesses excellent skills in support of activities (Excel, Word, Visio)
- Able to read and understand construction drawings

**Communication Skills**
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to management and installation staff
- Understands the requirement for confidentiality in corporate and personnel matters

**REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE**
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, E-Mail)
- Valid driver’s license in excellent standing
- Ability to listen, learn and show your excellent work ethic as you become a valued member of the team

**ASSETS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE**
- 1-3 years’ experience in the construction industry
- Post secondary graduate from a construction-related program - Architectural technology, Engineering program or related field
- Knowledge/experience with Visio and/or AutoCAD

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
