**JOB TITLE: Clinical Trial Associate**

**REPORTING TO: Senior Clinical Trial Coordinator**

**Effective Date: August 2023**

**OVERVIEW**:
As a Clinical Trial Associate, you are responsible for supporting the Clinical Trial Coordinator and their project management of clinical trials in collaboration with Logistics and Quality to ensure successful execution of projects from start-up through to close-out; activities that are predominantly supported are receipts, packaging, and distribution activities for the clinical trial projects.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and prepare processes relating to receiving of materials, clinical trial packaging, labeling, storing, and distribution.
- Assist in writing technical procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Accurately document all packaging material specifications, detailed packaging directions, descriptions and requirements from the CTC.
- Conduct in-process checks to ensure procedures are accurately performed by all staff in the Clinical Trial Packaging area during packaging and labeling procedures.
- Participates in discussions with sponsors, investigators and other parties as necessary regarding all aspects of the Clinical Trial Agreement.
- Directs and trains Logistics/Packaging Technicians in the preparation/packaging of study medications and in all necessary study specific duties.
- Assists in providing information for routine audits of all functions to ensure compliance of all procedures.
- Works with purchasing staff and Quality to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
- Adheres to established standards of service for customers or clients.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and health/safety standards.
- Accurately monitor clinical trials supplies/inventory, as required.
- Process requests and responds to inquiries, delegated from CTCs, in a timely manner.
- Work effectively with all peers to negotiate and influence customer improvements.
- May be required to perform other tasks or duties, as assigned.

**SCHEDULED WORKING HOURS**:

- Monday to Friday, 830am-430pm (unless operation hours are adjusted)

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completion of either a BSc or equivalent education
- Experience relating to project management
- Completion of Accredited GMP courses are an asset
- Experience relating to quality assurance is an asset
- Relevant clinical trials experience preferred

**ADDITIONAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ABILITIES**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Effective group facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative
