Job Summary:
Responsibilites:

- **Execution of Programming**: Oversee the entire lifecycle of programming initiatives, including planning, implementation, monitoring, promotion, and evaluation.
- **Budget Management**: Work within the allocated program budget to ensure effective utilization of resources while maintaining high-quality programming standards.
- **Cross Promotion**: Coordinate with other departments or external partners to promote senior programming initiatives across different platforms and channels.
- **Development of Communication Materials**: Create and maintain communication materials for senior programming projects, including print materials, newsletters, and digital content.
- **Communication of Upcoming Events**: Ensure timely and clear communication of upcoming events to seniors, caregivers, and relevant stakeholders through various communication channels.
- **Volunteer Management**: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support senior programming activities and initiatives.
- **Community Outreach**: Conduct outreach activities to increase awareness of HJFS's senior programming within the community, with a focus on engaging seniors and their families.
- **Collaboration**: Foster collaboration with other organizations in Dundas and the broader Jewish community to enhance the impact and reach of senior programming initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Resourceful, motivated, results-oriented professional with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving goals.
- Demonstrated administration and organizational skills, including proficiency in program logistics, work plan development, reporting, and event promotion.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with seniors, community partners, and staff.
- Experience in outreach and community engagement activities is an asset.
- Gerontology certificate program or event planning certificate is considered an asset.
- Possession of a Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) is required to ensure eligibility for working with vulnerable populations.
