Cold storage inventory control manager.
Centre des Viandes F.iasenza inc is expanding our operation and moving to a 30 thousand square foot cold storage facility. Our goal is to serve out existing customers with speed and accuracy, also this new location will allow us to store for others in the industry. We are now looking to fill the position of inventory control manager.
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory management, including inventory accuracy and reconciliation. This role involves developing and implementing inventory control policies and procedures. The Inventory Control Manager will work closely with various departments, including warehousing and store operations, to maintain accurate inventory records and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use of Mi trace traceability management software
- Scan in and out numerous different products
- Work together with CFIA coordinator to maintain CFIA program
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures and drive improvements to existing processes.
- Oversee regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
- Reconcile inventory gaps between the different systems and make the necessary corrections.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to address inventory-related issues and operations.
- Provide training and support to team members on inventory control best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, supply chain management or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in inventory control.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and techniques.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (mi trace an asset);
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Bilingual (French and English).
- Copes positively in high-stress work environment
