Purchasing Agent

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Purchasing**:

- Identify and evaluate suppliers to get the best possible cost.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage the purchasing process from order placement through delivery, ensuring timely receipt of goods.
- **Inventory Control**:

- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overburdening storage capacity or tying up excessive capital.
- Forecast demand for products and plan inventory levels to meet targets.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Collaborate with various departments to understand purchasing and inventory needs.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, ensuring clarity on delivery schedules, quality requirements, and other critical aspects.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory status, purchasing activities, and cost analysis to management.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in purchasing and inventory management.
- Implement best practices in procurement and inventory control
- Stay updated on trends, new products, and potential suppliers to ensure the company remains competitive.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or a related role.
- **Skills**:

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software (SAGE) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
