**What you’ll do**

- Develop and evaluate educational material by conducting literature searches, selecting desired content and formatting into presentations. Review educational material for relevancy and accuracy and selects material for use.
- Present educational material through various methods including power point presentations, electronic mail, and in-person to health care professionals including clinic nurses, physicians, community public health nurses, medical students, targeted community groups, and the general public.
- Design and develop web-based education, gather and place material into websites. Provide support to online course users by providing access and user information.
- Liaise with industry and community to provide information such as programs offered, and to acquire information such as industry developments. Communicate with Clinical Prevention Services staff, Director, Nursing & Manager, Professional Practice and program participants regarding programs and specific issues. Make presentations to groups and provide telephone consultation.

**What you bring**

- Post secondary degree in program planning, health education or communications.
- Three (3) years experience in education / training developing instructional material, coordinating and organizing events, projects and programs.

You will also have the ability to:

- Analyze data, make recommendations and take action.
- Demonstrate computer skills such as word processing, data bases, graphics, desktop publishing and web.
- Type 60 words per minute.
- Prioritize with others and use tact and diplomacy.
- Deal with sensitive and often sexually explicit materials and topics.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
