At Federated, our Receptionist and Sales Service Representative plays an integral role in supporting the office from both an operational and sales perspective. Their unique dual role involves reception duties, as well as administrative support to our Commercial Insurance Sales Specialists in areas of territory management and client administration.

As a Receptionist, they are responsible for handling all types of incoming, outgoing, and intra-system telephone calls. They are the initial point of contact for callers and provide information services and directions to callers while directing callers to the appropriate individuals, offices, or locations.

As a Sales Service Representative, they offer superior administrative support to our sales team. They assist with the preparation of various reports.

You’re great at:
- Communicating both orally and in writing in an effective, yet courteous manner- Maintaining exceptional working relationships with Sales, Underwriting, and other office personnel- Prioritizing and organizing various tasks while maintaining service standards- Working both independently and as a valued team member

You have:
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent; Clerical/Administrative/Business courses an asset- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a corporate receptionist with advanced knowledge of telephone console systems- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new programs
