We work with thousands of food businesses from across the supply chain utilizing logistics and technology to reduce the amount of edible food going to waste, thereby diverting unnecessary greenhouse gases from entering the environment.

Second Harvest is looking for a passionate and polished communicator to join our team as the **_Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Assistant_**. This position will support the achievement of our peer-to-peer fundraising targets through prospect research and pipeline development, campaign calls, and general administrative support for our P2P team.

We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills who is comfortable making connections and inspiring others about Second Harvest's mission.

**You Will**
- Research and identify new Second Harvest Hero and other peer-to-peer prospects through in-depth donor research.
- Utilize talking points to deepen prospects' awareness of and engagement with Second Harvest's mission; refer interested prospects to appropriate staff and/or possibly close on opportunities.
- Prepare confidential prospect profiles and briefing notes.
- Enter new and current prospect contact information and touchpoints into database (Raiser's Edge), ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Provide backup support at Second Harvest events pre and onsite, such as event set-up, execution, and tear-down, as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the Hero Campaign and other peer-to-peer campaigns, as needed.
- Provide minute-taking support during meetings, as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.

- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated success in customer service would be an asset.
