**Job Summary**

Safety Media Inc. provides property developers and owners with a one-stop shop for all their fire and life safety essentials. The company manufactures a full range of signage using wide format printing equipment, lasers, routers and is looking for an Intermediate Production Associate and Installer to work on a day-to-day basis with the Production Manager, who will actively assist with all aspects of the delivery of print and other manufactured products within defined timelines.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Operation of roll-to-roll with an Eco-solvent Roland printer, Graphtec vinyl plotter and flatbed printing with Canon OCE printers (Not required but would be an asset).
- Preparing proofs and preparing files for production.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc)
- Reading, running and completing work orders through the production stage.
- Working with Customer Service to coordinate a smooth production flow.
- Ensure the inventory for finishing is available, and identify shortfalls to purchasing.
- Package products and update inventory levels to maintain proper stock levels.
- Assist other manufacturing colleagues as needed to complete customer orders.
- Be actively involved with continuous improvement and communicate these to management.
- Cutting, cleaning and preparing material substrates for production.
- Ensure working environment is clean, tidy and safe.
- Focus on meeting daily sign production goals.
- Installing signs on-site when scheduled and required.
- Comfortable with the use of ladders or step ladders.
- Experience with hand and power tools (Drill, driver, hammer, measuring tape, knife, levels, squeegees, etc)
- Read, understand and follow shop drawings, site plans and architectural drawings.

- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Full G driver license (required).

**Desirable Skills**
- You want to take on the challenge of generating results that are over and above what is expected of you.
- Knowledge of the basics of graphic design and typography rules.
- You are influential and competitive: you want to make a difference and influence your team members and decision-makers by displaying positive personal drive and passion for what you do.
- Experience and aptitude with Manufacturing processes and Wide Format printing equipment.
- Knowledge of ripping software such as Versaworks and/or Onyx would be an asset.
- You’re not just here to be a working robot; you want to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with your co-workers and peers.
- Installation experience not required but would be an asset.
