**Job Overview**

Business Banking Clerk supports the corporate strategy by administering Business loans with the objective of supporting the Business Banking Group for FirstOntario. As a key member of the Business Banking team, this position plays an important role in the achievement of department revenue budget maintenance and risk mitigation. The Business Banking Clerk will provide administrative support to the Business Banking Group and Business members. The role will assist in reaching department goals and objectives and develop strong positive images with our members and the community.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities **Operations**:
1. Provide administrative support to Business Banking Group, branches and other departments /divisions and Members as required.
2. Answer inquiries or direct Members to appropriate staff for prompt and professional response.
3. Receive, distribute and audit various commercial reports.
4. Execute business correspondence as required.
5. Prepare the monthly Business Sales Reports.
6. Filing of documentation both physically and electronically.
7. Provide business related information to other departments as required.
8. Adhere to standards of operation, policies and procedures
9. Assist and relieve other Business Banking positions as required.
10. Key Business Banking loans onto the system, complete loan status reports and posting entries as required
11. Keep informed of, and be willing to implement, new concepts which may improve the operating efficiency of the department.
12. Cultivate and maintain productive professional relationships with existing and potential members to generate goodwill for the credit union.

**Job Specifications and Technical Requirements**
- Grade 12 and/or equivalent
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work well with mínimal supervision
- Must be capable of working as a team player, willing to assist other staff as required
- Positive attitude, knowledge, understanding and skill in working in a fast paced, time sensitive, deadline oriented environment.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving and prioritizing skills
- Detail oriented individual with solid foundation of organizational skills.
- Demonstrated customer service excellence;
- Ability to write business correspondence coherently and professionally;
- Thorough competency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Microsoft Outlook and ability to use/learn banking and document storage software quickly and efficiently;
- Basic knowledge of general banking operations, systems and processes;
