**HOURS OF WORK**: 40 hours/week, between 7:00am and 4:30pm, including weekends.

The City of Colwood has an opportunity for a **Full-Time SEASONAL Regular PARKS LABOURER I **in the Public Works

experience in a local government or public sector environment. A valid Traffic Control Ticket is required. The usual

seasonal work period is April through September inclusive, annually.

**NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK**

Reporting to the Manager of Parks; with functional leadership from the Parks Supervisor and Parks Lead Hand,
the Labourer I performs manual work entailing considerable physical effort in the performance of a variety of
construction and maintenance tasks; limited training or previous experience is required. Apart from routine
duties, a supervisor will issue detailed instructions, monitor work progress, and do inspections upon completion.

**MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- A minimum of six (6) months experience directly related to the work to be performed.

**REQUIRED LICENCES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS**

1. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

2. Possession of a valid B.C. Driver’s License, minimum Class 5 (restrictions must be disclosed)

3. Possession of a valid Traffic Control Person Certificate (TCP)
