The Central Scheduling Analyst designs reports, conducts analysis and provides recommendations to inform decision making on scheduling templates, shift bids and FTE management. **The job involves**:

- Meeting with Departmental Managers to provide ongoing updates, supporting and training for their scheduling needs and identify process improvements in scheduling
- Providing strong data and insights to help focus the leadership team on scheduling efficiencies and FTE management
- Consulting with IT regarding scheduling software and ensure software issues are addressed and identify areas where improvements may be made
- Preparing and implementing annual vacation pick process for all departments
- Maximizing the integration and operational effectiveness of automation tools
- Producing reports based on specific business requirements using data from Kronos like FTE’s, Reduce Days, EO’s to facilitate informed decision making
- Responsible for special projects as may be identified or new initiatives that will provide operational efficiencies or streamlined processes
- Assisting management team in rollout of projects ensuring the operations team is fully supported and aware of any new features or requirements
- Providing expert Scheduling Support to both Central Scheduling associates, HR associates and Departments where the need is identified or assistance is requested
- Completing, tracking, and prioritizing client departments pre-scheduling needs
- Assisting in maintaining PTO, VTO, Lieu, Dual Lieu and Emergency Leave for client departments
- Reviewing scheduling processes and recommending efficiencies
- Working closely with Recruitment and HR Operations
- Working independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
- College Diploma in Business, or equivalent
- 1- 3 years’ experience in project management and reporting
- Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting and producing high quality, accurate information
- Advanced ability to function independently, show initiative and problem solve situations
- Excellent presentation skills
- Advanced computer skills (scheduling specific software, Excel, Word, Access and Time and Attendance system programs)
- Understanding of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Niagara Casinos policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritize tasks, strong attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to analyze scheduling requirements including staffing levels and time off management
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal and proven ability to provide concise written summaries
