**POSITION**:PAYROLL ANALYST

**Summary of Duties**:
As an integral member of the Finance Team, the Payroll Analyst coordinates and participates in technical payroll accounting activities; participates in the preparation, maintenance, processing, analysis and auditing of manual and automated payroll data, information, records and reports; ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll transactions; lead, train and provide work direction, support and guidance to the payroll team, internal and external partners, with daily support to the Hospital leadership team. The Payroll Analyst will recommend new opportunities and provide insight for improvement.

**Experience & Qualification Requirements**:

- Business, Accounting or related program certificate from a recognized Community College and/or University.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from Canadian Payroll Association, or in progress.
- Three years of payroll experience in an organization of 500+ employees, preferably in health care.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills that contribute to effective decision-making with the ability to set priorities and respond professionally to changing work demands.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at a time while achieving deadlines and reporting requirement with excellent Microsoft excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience in completion of payroll reports internally and externally within mandated timelines, and responding to inquiries in a professional manner
- Experienced in completion of monthly payroll close process, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ability to work independent with strong attention to detail required and proficiency in data-entry and as part of the Finance team.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and customer service skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.

**Experience & Qualification Assets**:

- Previous experience of mandatory health care payroll reporting (i.e. HOOPP, MIS Trial Balance) and health care finance related certificates.
- Working knowledge of Meditech.

**Shifts**:Weekdays primarily, although may require flexibility of hours to achieve deadlines

**Wage**: $39.29 - $44.45

**Salary**: $39.29-$44.45 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
