Definition of Work:


Reporting to the Director of Long term care and Community Supports, the Clerk IV will be responsible for providing structure, input and coordination to biweekly divisional/program meetings; responsibilities include meeting transcripts, task assignment and follow-up with stakeholders to ensure assigned tasks are completed according to timelines. The administrative assistant will be responsible for all program documentation and follow-up related to program implementation; training schedules; and developing clinical schedules based on assigned client priorities.

Other duties include preparing and distributing program staff and physician meeting agenda/minutes; preparation of program reports/statistical reports; preparing community and provincial steering committee presentations; providing follow-up on provincial steering committee action items; providing the first point of contact for stakeholders inquiring about the program; dispersing program information appropriately; connecting with clients/families regarding appointments/follow-up; liaise and provide support to provincial counterparts as the program expands to other health zones.

This position will also be expected to provide administrative supports to the Home First network and other community-based programs. Candidates will be required to be proficient in the use of the EMR as it relates to scheduling and developing statistics reports, organizing and maintaining patient/program files as well as CRMS and other electronic health reporting systems.

The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Required Qualifications:
*Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
*Completion of a two-year office administration program approved by Central Health.
*Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
*Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills are essential.
*Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)
*A satisfactory record of performance and attendance is required for this position
*A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority

Preferred qualifications:
*Recent experience in clerical work of a fiscal nature
