**ROLE: Department Maintenance Planner**
**REPORTS TO: Department Manager**
**START DATE: MAY 1**

We want up-and-coming Department Maintenance Planners to implement, maintain and continuously improve the Maintenance Work Planning and Scheduling for their department, and provide a continuity link to other maintenance systems. This role will also coordinate all preventative maintenance scheduling and execution systems, working closely with the bakery maintenance team and 3rd party contractors.

**CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Plan, schedule and lead maintenance tasks and activities based on plant maintenance schedules
- Update, review and close work orders based on the maintenance schedule by supervising, assigning and assessing contractor work quality, timelines, and following up where necessary
- Regularly track and report maintenance work results and progress against maintenance key performance indicators, while reporting areas in need of improvement or urgent review
- Identify areas for continuous improvement by tracking maintenance indicators, and developing technical documents and ensuring they are up to date, accurate, and easy to use.
- Assist in coordination of other projects including Health and Safety
**ABOUT YOU**:
- University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing)
- Experience working in a computerized preventative maintenance program (CMMS); Basic PC Skills
- Passionate and desire to work and learn about the food manufacturing industry and innovation
- Possesses a rational and critical, yet flexible and innovative way of problem solving
- Highly self-driven and motivated to learn, and thrives in a fast-moving competitive work environment
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends if needed
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize
- Computer and technical maintenance skills
- EAM Infor Maintenance (if and M&S SAP site) and storeroom skills
- Familiarity with automated process/packaging technology an asset
- Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP & O.H.S.A is an asset
