**Summary**

The Manager, HR and Wellness, partners with the CEO, the Senior Advisor EDI and Anti-Oppression and the leadership team to develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, and build a high-performance team to deliver the organization programs. The Manager will provide advice and coaching to employees and managers in the areas of human resources, wellness, staffing initiatives, performance management, total rewards and employee relations, ensuring all HR policies and practices are examined and reviewed through an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) lens.

This is a full-time, onsite position, with the possibility of some remote work.

**HR Delivery**
- Leads the operationalization of HR strategies through defining objectives and establishing ownership of planning and timelines for key annual and ad hoc HR activities (i.e., performance management and development cycle, workforce planning, compensation reviews, talent acquisition, engagement activities, etc.)
- Oversee the development, implementation, execution, review and improvement of HR programs, processes, and policies to better meet the needs of diverse staff and clients.
- Responsible for creating and implementing a training and development plan that is comprehensive and includes all required mandatory training.
- Responsible for responding to and conducting fact finding of Harassment Complaints and determining when formal investigations should be conducted, in keeping with GCHC anti-oppression guidelines.

**Wellness**
- Develop an organization-wide psychological health and safety plan and oversee implementation.
- Work with the Senior Advisor, EDI and Anti-Oppression to monitor and evaluate staff wellness and implement strategies to improve wellness supports and offerings.
- Review benefits program and supports for staff annually to ensure they are meeting the needs and making changes when needed
- Develop and deliver or source educational opportunities related to employee psychological health and well-being (e.g., debrief, mental health awareness, stress management techniques

**Organization & Leadership**
- Provide HR business partner support to assigned employee groups.
- Responsible for project management, solution design and implementation and generation of project results through data analysis and success measurement related to HR initiatives.
- Create an empowering work environment for the team that supports knowledge development and integration and leads change management.
- Recruit, train and oversee performance management of the team members.
- Ensure the team has the appropriate skill mix to support the delivery of HR services to the organization.
- Plans, assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of staff or contract employees, providing supervision, leadership and appraisal of job performance.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent, with CHRP or CHRL designation
- Minimum of five years leadership experience in Human Resources with accountability for all aspects of HR Management, preferably with at least 2 years in a not-for-profit organization
- Considerable experience in assisting to develop and implement human resources strategies in one or more of the following areas: recruitment and retention, staffing, human resource planning and management, training and development, payroll and/or labour relations consultation.
- Demonstrated experience managing the total life-cycle of a project, using a project management and /or quality improvement approach.
