The Alberta Court of Justice will recognize the importance of working collaboratively with First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities, and have a working knowledge around the Truth and Reconciliation Commission calls to action. **Role Responsibilities**:
The Case Coordinator role is a senior position which supports the work of the judiciary, court administration, counsel, and the public in the Alberta Justice system before, during, and subsequent to, court proceedings.

As the Case Coordinator you will hold a key responsibility in arranging and managing various types of court matters being scheduled before the Court of Justice in the jurisdiction. This position is a senior representative of Alberta Justice and represents the administration of the courts in a responsible and professional manner, which reflects the fair and equitable delivery of justice in Alberta.

You are administratively responsible to the Manager of Case Flow and Judicial Scheduling and functionally responsible to the Judiciary. You are responsible for managing and coordinating all criminal and civil case files through Criminal and Civil Trial Coordinating, Case Management, Pre-trial conferences, Judicial Dispute Resolution and Justice of the Peace duties as well as assessing, negotiating, coordinating, assigning, and monitoring matters.

You are responsible for liaising and collaborating with a broad stakeholder group inclusive of Judiciary, Court Administration, Crown Counsel, members of the Bar, self-represented litigants, court and program staff, as well as other Government agencies and members of the public.

The environment is fast paced and ever changing. The complex work with multiple stakeholders requires modern business skills to maintain the interdependencies and the professional ethics of the position.

**Qualifications**:
Two-year diploma in a related field plus five years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described.

Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience

Directly related experience may include but is not limited to Case Management, Legal Assistant/Paralegal, Judicial Assistant, Dispute Resolution, and Issue and Meeting Coordination.

Assets will be considered as follows:

- Working knowledge of the Alberta Court of Justice processes for Civil and Criminal matters
- Familiarity with Alberta Court of Justice operations
- Ability to problem solve and collaborate in a complex environment Experience working closely with Judiciary and Court AdministrationMinimum recruitment standards outline the minimum education and experience required for appointment to a job classification.

This is a permanent position in the Alberta Court of Justice - Office of the Chief Justice, Grande Prairie, full-time, working Monday to Friday 8:15AM - 4:30PM, 36.25 hours a week.
