The Technical Services and Innovation team based out of Saskatoon, SK supports asphalt and industrial product sales across North America. The Saskatoon Laboratory tests asphalt materials and builds new products through R&D. **Responsibilities**:
- Support and complete material testing and certification of asphalt materials- Use applied statistics and reporting / communication of test results to Canadian downstream terminals, customers and agencies- Design and scope R&D projects that support Asphalt and Industrial Products- Support Sr. Technical Services Engineering projects- Develop and grow expanded operational integrity program for continued safe operations

**Qualifications**:- Available to begin work in September 2023- Able to relocate to Saskatoon, SK- Laboratory experience an asset but not essential.

Education- Enrolled in an Engineering Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term- Attached copies of transcripts- Currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

Skills / Competencies- Organizational skills an asset- Ability to balance multiple projects and demands- Interest in asphalt materials research and development (civil / chemical)- Basic statistical quality control and use of excel an asset.

Working Conditions- May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.- Saskatoon site office - Balance between office on site, and in laboratory.- Potential for some off site travel as necessary to support Asphalt & Industrial product sales.

Safety Sensitive- This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.- Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle, applicants are asked to provide a recent (i.e., issued within the previous 4 weeks) original driver is abstract, for the preceding 5-year period, if offered the position. A valid Canadian class 5 Driver's License with no restrictions (i.e., non GDL) is a requirement for this role

Relocation

Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.
