Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Student to join our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) team at AIMCo. As a student, you will be exposed to the full life-cycle of projects and get to engage in exciting initiatives that span various departments across AIMCo. This role will take a deep dive into Project Portfolio Management, Project Intake, Portfolio Optimization as well as Project Delivery. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of initiatives, industry standard platforms and a diverse and engaging EPMO team that is success driven. Note: This role is a 4-month internship for the Winter 2025 term, with the possibility of extension.

Work our way from Edmonton, Toronto, or Calgary. Our flexible work style lets you work remotely while allowing regular visits to our vibrant offices, where you can soak up our culture and collaborate with colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Collect and refine data related to project and portfolio health. Develop reports, templates, slide decks, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders to support related decision making
- Support the Portfolio Management process including project intake and business case development
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the EPMO. Collecting lessons learned and identifying potential actions to improve and streamline processes going forward
- Develop and maintain accurate, standardized, and up-to-date process documentation
- Participate in EPMO projects as needed
- Currently enrolled in a degree such as Business, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- You possess excellent communication, coordination, facilitation, and planning skills that effectively guide teams throughout their project journey.
- Values a collaborative environment and people-centered approach to advance strategic objectives.
- Returning to full time studies following the work term, or finishing final work experience terms
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a great degree of self-initiative
- Enjoys collaborating and presenting on own ideas and findings to team members
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspiring the same in others

Success Measures

Your success in the role will be in your ability to finish tasks independently and support various EPMO projects. Your enthusiasm and passion for learning will be supported by the whole EPMO team, made up of various Senior Project and Portfolio Managers and the Director.
