The Project Management Office (PMO) facilitates the success of information technology (IT) projects by providing services in project management, vendor management, and business relationship management. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join a group of dynamic and innovative professionals.

As a project manager on the PMO team, you will lead a variety of IT projects across the entire lifecycle from initiation to closure. Your excellent organizational skills and diverse experience will allow you to manage your own work while driving the successful delivery of your projects. As well, you will be able to effectively present information in a range of formats, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, and champion the NAIT Way values

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage concurrent IT projects using the ITS project management methodology, project management system, and system development lifecycle processes.
- Guide and motivate matrix cross-functional project teams.
- Cultivate working relationships with project team members, stakeholders, vendors, sponsors, steering committees, and colleagues.
- Coach and train less experienced project managers.
- Collaborate with operational team members to evolve PMO processes, templates, and tools.
- Perform operational tasks within the PMO.
- Stay current on project management trends and leading practices and share this knowledge with PMO colleagues.
- Facilitate meetings and decision-making processes with diverse stakeholders up to and including the vice president level.
- Liaison with select NAIT departments concerning IT Infrastructure projects.
- Work remotely but may need to attend meetings on-site as needed.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Experience and knowledge working in an environment with a variety of project delivery approaches such as Waterfall, Lean, Agile, etc.
- Experience working with SCRUM teams.
- Able to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities.
- Outstanding critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Visio, SharePoint, and Project.
- Knowledge of ERP Finance and HR, Student Information Systems, or Facilities Management systems is desirable.

**Qualifications**:

- Related degree or diploma.
- At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience with IT project management.
- Experience leading IT projects, preferably in a post-secondary educational environment.
- Mandatory active Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent.
- Flexibility in work schedule may be required to meet project deadlines.
- While this position is mainly work from home, attendance at our main NAIT campus will be required occasionally, therefore applicants must live within a reasonable commute.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: $79,795.82 - $105,715.48 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
