Area Supervisor - ServiceMaster Clean of North GTA
The primary role of the Area Manager is to manage an account portfolio within an assigned territory. This is accomplished by providing leadership to service employees in providing consistent service delivery to our clients. This individual reports to the Operations Manager.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Manage, develop and lead a service team by assessing, training and managing the performance of all employees
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Manage the timekeeping process for payroll
- Ensure consistent delivery of the customer specifications and meeting expectations
- Manage financial goals related to productivity and labour budgets.
- Responsible for performance evaluation, coaching, counseling and preparing corrective action for employees
- Train, monitor employees on proper work procedures and ensure maximum productivity with minimum labour costs
- Responsible for employee retention and work to ensure low employee turnover
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
- +2 years of experience in a B2B service / customer service role demonstrating and effective leadership style.
- Must have strong and effective leadership skills and the ability to successfully manage a large group of employees
- Experience in the cleaning industry a plus
- Diploma/Degree from accredited post-secondary institution or High School diploma combined with commensurate experience.
- Excellent time management skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
- Must be innovative and have the ability to implement changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with Team members and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word
- Self-Starter, results oriented with a sense of urgency
- Possess a valid driver’s licence with clean abstract
- Ensure employees are trained and knowledgeable about Standard Operating Practices and expectations in delivering services to clients.
- Experience in hiring and managing people within the Employment Standards Act
- Control labour and supply budgets for individual accounts
- Establish a proactive customer service environment through effective planning, clear definition of expectations, quality assurance and frequent measurement and feedback
- Help maintain security of building
- Ensure employees work in a safe and healthful environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
